This is an artist who expresses their unique worldview in the pottery town of Mashiko in Tochigi Prefecture.
Ms. TABALA has an unconventional background as a potter, having previously worked as a music artist and business manager before arriving at her current form of expression. It must have taken a lot of courage for her to learn pottery techniques from scratch and dive into a new artistic world. Her current works demonstrate a high sense of aesthetics and dexterity, and she has created some wonderful pieces.
Her works seem to be conscious of the creation of works that blend into everyday life with a mysterious worldview where reality and fantasy coexist. It’s wonderful to see her high level of enthusiasm for her creations in her latest work.
